Overview

Song Fa Bak Kut Teh at Mall of Indonesia brings an authentic taste of Singaporean pork rib soup to Jakarta’s vibrant Kelapa Gading district. The experience centers on their signature Bak Kut Teh—a clear, aromatic broth infused with peppery spices, simmered to tender perfection with pork ribs. This main dish embodies a comforting balance of flavor and warmth, ideal for those seeking a hearty yet healthy soup option.

The restaurant’s spacious and well-kept interior provides a relaxed setting, suitable for families and groups. Its location inside a bustling shopping mall makes it a convenient stop for shoppers and food lovers alike. The seating arrangement allows for ease of access, and attentive staff ensure a smooth dining rhythm, particularly appreciated by guests with young children, as seen in thoughtful gestures like providing and sanitizing baby chairs.

The menu features more than just bak kut teh. Highlights include large, crispy cakwe, homemade Ngoh Hiang, spicy pork belly, and salted vegetables that cut through the richness of the meat. These dishes, paired with fragrant jasmine tea and sides like tahu tim and sayur pokcoy, create a well-rounded meal that satisfies both palate and appetite. Guests who relish pork will find the bold flavors and tender textures memorable, while the inclusion of free-flow garlic and pork soup enhances the communal dining experience.

Customer feedback reflects a consistent appreciation for both food and service quality. Many praise the warmth and professionalism of the staff, noting how attentiveness complements the flavorful dishes. While the pepper-forward broth may challenge those sensitive to spice, it remains a distinctive characteristic true to traditional Bak Kut Teh.

In sum, Song Fa Bak Kut Teh offers an authentic culinary journey into Singaporean pork dishes, blending taste, service, and ambiance with thoughtful touches ideal for families and individuals seeking comfort food with depth. It stands out as a strong choice within Mall of Indonesia for anyone wanting to explore this classic Southeast Asian specialty.

We had a delightful dining experience, thanks to Mr. Rozi. He was exceptionally attentive, offering a baby chair and thoughtfully cleaning it with a wet tissue before my daughter sat down — a simple yet rare gesture that truly stood out. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is located inside the Mall of Indonesia (MOI). This location is convenient with a good amount of seating. When we went there for dinner on a weekday, it wasn't too busy and we were seated right away. I feel like the food was good, but nothing special. We ordered the bakuteh, pork belly, misua with cakwe and sayur asin, and we finished with dessert the almond longan one and the healthy one, I forgot the name. The staff was all very kind and attentive. Service was very good in general The food is not kid friendly if they are toddlers and Don't like spice. The bakuteh wasn't spicy to me, but the flavor was very peppery. If your kids don't like peppers, they are out of luck. I would recommend visiting this place if you are already in the Mall and are looking for soups that is fairly healthy.

This is what I call when quality of pork meat met with the great taste of pork itself. The superb of delicacy of pork cuisine is what they serve. I love most of all the menu. Pork rib soup is amazing, watery, soft and tender with aromatic delicious soup. Spicy pork belly, braised pig bellys and braised pig trotters are very soft and tender, the spicy is melted on mouth. I love their salted vagetables too. The atmospheres is cool, clean and tidy. The waiters are very helpfull. Well done!

As this was our first trip to Java, The first thing we arrived at our hotel at All Sedayu Kelapa Puding at 9pm was to look for dinner- found out we are actually living in the (MOI) Mall Of Indonesia Complex! Just walk next door! We were shocked to walk right into Song Fa Bah Kut Teh on the first floor!!! All the nostalgic moments on where it originates from - Klang, Selangor, Malaysia!!! Ordered my favourite pork stomach and soft bones! Boy! They did not disappoint! We were offered the remaining soups as we were the last customer! We went back again three days later! Ah! I am so glad good bah kut teh’s can be found outside of Klang! Bah kut Teh is a nutritious food brewed from Chinese herbs. Malaysia has cleverly declared bah kut Teh as the national food of Malaysia! My brother used to have bah kut Teh daily till his accidental death at 80. He was agile, strong, healthy and looked like a 60 years old!!

Tasted a lot of dish in this visit. The soup of pork ribs are a little bit bland today, but the meat are still tender. The friend pork tasted really good, with a little bit of sweet taste for the sauce. The cakwe are not bad, the sour veggies also. And the soy sauced meat actually tasted great, it accompanied well with the rice and salty soy sauce.
